How does vintage sizing compare to modern sizing?

Vintage generally runs smaller than what you’d expect from today’s sizing, and silhouettes from different decades fit differently on a body than modern cuts do. We list flat garment measurements, not just a size label, on every listing, so you can compare directly to something you already own and love rather than guessing from a tag. If you’re between sizes or unsure, reach out before you buy. We’d rather answer a question than see a piece come back.

What’s the difference between “vintage” and “preloved”?

“Vintage” refers to pieces with real age, generally at least 20 years old. “Preloved” is broader: it covers anything previously owned, vintage or not, and we use it when we’re speaking about our full range rather than a specific era. Every piece, vintage or preloved, is chosen for the same reasons: quality, character, and staying power.

How does consignment work?

All sales are final. What happens if something doesn’t fit?

Yes, all sales are final. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, sold as-is, and previously worn, so we don’t offer returns or exchanges. What we do offer is real information up front: honest condition grading, flat measurements on every item, and a genuine willingness to answer questions, send extra photos, or talk you through fit before you buy. Doing the sizing homework ahead of time makes buyer’s remorse a lot less likely.

What do your condition grades mean?

Mint: virtually no wear, most often true of vintage that was never worn. Excellent: expected signs of age but hardly any visible wear. Very Good: normal signs of wear for its age, with small visible details that won’t affect how it wears. Good: obvious condition, still fully wearable, might benefit from mending or cleaning. Fair: better suited as an inspiration piece than something you’ll wear as-is. Anything specific to a piece is called out in its own listing, and we’re always happy to answer more before you buy.
