The Simone began as an oversized vintage denim vest—unclaimed in its original form, yet full of potential. Inspired by an upcycling project led by my daughter, I gave it a new life. When she turned a beloved pair of Y2K jeans into shorts, she left behind two well-worn pant legs. I used them to create sculptural, open sleeves—cold-shoulder style—with the original hemline wear preserved as part of the story.
The result? A one-of-one jacket-vest hybrid that carries the spirit of collaboration, transformation, and generational creativity. It’s a piece that holds softness and strength at once.
